Direct answer
There is no universal best among LONGi, JinkoSolar and Canadian Solar. Compare the exact module model, not only the brand name. For a Pakistani rooftop, focus on module efficiency and dimensions, electrical compatibility with the inverter, temperature coefficient, construction, warranty documents and genuine local supply. Catalogue listings are on solar panels.
This is not a laboratory winner test. The current examples below illustrate why exact model code, dimensions, current, voltage and temperature characteristics matter more than brand-only rankings.
Why the exact model matters
“LONGi 545”, “Jinko 545” and “Canadian 520” are not complete specifications. Several models can share similar wattage. A quotation should state manufacturer, series, model code, wattage and construction, then match that code to the current official datasheet.
Current LONGi example
LR7-60HVH-545M in the Hi-MO X10 family (HPBC 2.0 / back-contact). Official STC figures used here: Pmax 545 W; efficiency 24.2%; Voc 44.98 V; Isc 15.35 A; Vmp 37.21 V; Imp 14.65 A; Pmax temperature coefficient −0.260 %/°C; dimensions 1990 × 1134 × 30 mm. Official LONGi LR7-60HVH datasheet · Hi-MO X10.
These numbers apply only to this model code. They are not a brand ranking.
Current JinkoSolar example
JKM545N-54QL6-DV, n-type TOPCon, monofacial dual glass. Official STC figures: Pmax 545 W; efficiency 24.27%; Voc 40.46 V; Isc 16.42 A; Vmp 34.70 V; Imp 15.71 A; Pmax temperature coefficient −0.26 %/°C; dimensions 1980 × 1134 × 30 mm; weight 27.5 kg. Datasheet F1-EN.
This is a current rooftop example, not a claim that every Tiger Neo module matches these figures.
Current Canadian Solar example
TOPHiKu6 CS6.2-54TM-520, n-type TOPCon. Official STC figures: Pmax 520 W; efficiency 23.4%; Voc 40.4 V; Isc 16.20 A; Vmp 34.2 V; Imp 15.22 A; Pmax temperature coefficient −0.29 %/°C; dimensions 1961 × 1134 × 30 mm; weight 23.3 kg. Official TOPHiKu6 CS6.2-54TM datasheet. Family listing: Canadian Solar modules.
This 520 W example is not the same product as the 545 W LONGi or Jinko examples. Do not treat the three as a tied laboratory test.
Wattage vs efficiency
Higher watts do not automatically mean higher efficiency, better heat behaviour or more energy per square metre. A physically larger module can carry more rated watts at similar efficiency.
For these exact codes only: LONGi LR7-60HVH-545M 24.2%; Jinko JKM545N-54QL6-DV 24.27%; Canadian CS6.2-54TM-520 23.4% at 520 W. That is not a brand efficiency ranking or an annual-production ranking. System sizing · 1-kanal house.
Heat and temperature coefficient
STC uses 25 °C cell temperature. The Pmax temperature coefficient describes how rated module power changes as cell/module temperature moves away from that reference. It does not equate 45 °C Lahore air with 45 °C solar-cell temperature. Rooftop cell temperature in sun is typically higher than ambient air.
Datasheet arithmetic only — not an annual-yield forecast. At a hypothetical +20 °C module-temperature change:
- −0.26 %/°C × 20 °C ≈ −5.2%
- −0.29 %/°C × 20 °C ≈ −5.8%
A 0.03 percentage-point/°C coefficient difference does not prove several-percent higher annual Lahore energy production. Do not convert this arithmetic into a brand kWh ranking.
Electrical compatibility with the inverter
Panel wattage alone does not determine inverter compatibility. Design checks include Voc, temperature-adjusted string Voc, Vmp, the inverter MPPT window, Imp, Isc, maximum inverter input current, maximum short-circuit current, strings per MPPT, modules per string and maximum permitted DC input.
On these examples, Imp is 14.65 A (LONGi 545), 15.71 A (Jinko 545) and 15.22 A (Canadian 520). Similar format or wattage can still need different inverter-current capability. That does not make any of them universally incompatible. Compatibility depends on the exact inverter and string design. Solar inverters · inverter guide.
Module dimensions and roof fit
Exact outline widths here: LONGi 1990 × 1134 mm; Jinko 1980 × 1134 mm; Canadian 1961 × 1134 mm. Roof fit still depends on tanks, parapets, stairs, shade, access, orientation, row layout and structure. There is no universal m²/kW rule. The shortest module is not automatically the right one.
TOPCon vs back-contact
LONGi X10 uses an HPBC 2.0 / back-contact family. The Jinko and Canadian examples are n-type TOPCon. Architecture is only one part of model selection. Neither technology is universally better.
Bifacial vs monofacial
The Jinko example above is monofacial dual glass. Rear-side contribution on a bifacial module depends on rear irradiance, mounting height, reflectivity, row spacing, shade and geometry. Do not publish a universal bifacial-gain percentage, and do not treat front-side STC watts as identical field energy for bifacial and monofacial products.
Warranty and degradation documents
Warranty and degradation terms vary by exact module and region. Check the current manufacturer datasheet and applicable warranty statement for the exact quoted model. This article does not publish a warranty league table or a service-life promise.
How to confirm the exact panel
Require manufacturer, series, model code, wattage and construction. Then use the matching datasheet and any serial/QR/warranty-registration process the manufacturer publishes for that model. Homeowner FAQs.
Which panel suits which rooftop?
There is no universal winner for Lahore or Pakistan. Tight usable roof: compare efficiency and the named module’s dimensions. Inverter limits: compare Voc/Vmp/Imp/Isc to that inverter. Dust, tanks and shade: layout and survey, not a brand slogan. Residential solar · Lahore.
Common buying mistakes
- Ranking brands instead of model codes
- Copying old PKR-per-panel blog tables
- Treating ambient air as cell temperature
- Assuming any 545 W or 585 W panel fits any inverter
- Mixing different formats as if they were one product
- Skipping serial and datasheet checks
FAQ
Is LONGi better than JinkoSolar?
No. There is no universal winner. Compare the quoted model datasheets.
Is JinkoSolar better than Canadian Solar?
No. Same rule: exact model code, not the brand name.
Which solar panel is best for Pakistan?
There is no universal best. Match roof, inverter, electrical limits, temperature coefficient, construction, documents and genuine supply.
Which panel is better in heat?
Compare the Pmax temperature coefficient on the exact datasheets. Do not convert Lahore air temperature into a brand yield ranking.
Does a 600 W panel always outperform a 585 W panel?
No. Rated watts are STC nameplate. A larger module can have more watts. Site energy still depends on irradiance, temperature, shade and the inverter.
Is higher module efficiency always better?
No. It helps when usable area is constrained. Electrical fit and layout still govern.
What is temperature coefficient?
It is the relative change in rated power per °C of cell/module temperature versus the STC reference, not a forecast of annual Lahore kWh.
What are Voc, Isc and Imp?
Voc is open-circuit voltage. Isc is short-circuit current. Imp is current at maximum power. Vmp is the voltage at maximum power. All must fit the inverter, including MPPT limits.
Can any 585 W panel work with any inverter?
No. Wattage is not a compatibility certificate.
Is TOPCon better than back-contact?
No as a slogan. They are different architectures. Compare the named modules.
Is bifacial always better?
No. Rear-side contribution is site-specific.
How do I verify the exact panel model?
Manufacturer, series, model code, wattage and construction, then the matching datasheet and serial/QR process.
How long is the warranty?
It is model- and region-specific. Read the current warranty statement for that code.
Which brand is best for Lahore?
None as a brand ranking. Design for that roof, heat, dust, shade and inverter. Projects · contact · solar calculator (budgetary only).
